Niclosamide is an anthelmintic drug that acts as a replication inhibitor against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Recent studies have shown that Niclosamide has 40 times higher efficacy compared to Remdesivir. Additionally, when compared to the inhibitory concentration of 500 uM obtained by favipiravir, the IC50 of Niclosamide is 0.28 uM.
